- This role is homebased, but may involve minimal travel around Birmingham.
Our client received Grade Good OFSTED and Outstanding in other areas.
This role is pivotal in achieving the ambitious growth plan for our apprenticeship provision and as such the incumbent will be required to deliver to strict KPI’s. As such the role is required to deliver high quality business development and account management service to new and existing partners. Working closely with a range of creative and digital businesses and learners to identify apprenticeship opportunities.
Role and Responsibilities
- Develop and manage high level relationships with key networks/partners/employers nationally and develop strategic relationships in order to identify opportunities and generate quality referrals
- Take a consultative approach to identify and secure opportunities, products and services for the college, as appropriate
- Cross sell other products, seizing all opportunities to offer clients a well-rounded service
- Identify bidding opportunities to meet income targets and support the production of submissions
- Provide comprehensive, practical information and advice to levy paying and non-levy employers on Apprenticeships and wider education funding reforms, communicating practical solutions on how they can maximise the level of funding available
- Drive and promote a joint approach, with employers, to workforce development through the provision of tailored Organisation/Training Needs
- Analysis to ensure the most suitable package of training solutions is offered
- Arrange, oversee and manage key accounts, ensuring high standards of customer service from on-boarding through to completion, working as an Account Manager and with internal colleagues to ensure a professional, compliant and effective service (including Health & Safety vetting of employers)
- At the request of the employer, provide a recruitment service for the employer to recruit the learner- Advertising on Recruit and Apprentice, our websites and social media, providing a sifting service to employers and arranging interviews
- Managing the relationship with the employer through the entire apprenticeship to identify future apprenticeship opportunities with new learners or existing employees
- Liaise closely with the Head of Employer Partnerships to ensure all accounts receive an outstanding service, tailoring communication, reports and experience when required
- Ensure all legal contracts are completed which includes a profile of business from new clients
- Lead on new business presentations and utilise supporting documentation to ensure a high-end professional service
- Maintain client accounts and new business pipeline using reporting documents and systems (CRM) and keep the wider business informed of progress towards achieving agreed targets
- Drive awareness and understanding of the levy regionally and nationally
- Maintain high levels of expertise relating to Apprenticeships, ensuring regular updating, networking events and seminars ensuring in-depth knowledge is kept updated
Essential Criteria:
- 2 years’ experience and proven track record in a Business or a Sales
- Management role promoting and securing apprenticeship and/or training opportunities
- Demonstrative experience of strong professional relationships with key strategic clients
- Proven record of delivering outstanding results through a structured approach to planning for success
- Ability and an understanding of how to undertake an Organisational and Training Needs Analysis
- Experience of working in high demand environments, with targets and to tight deadlines
- Excellent understanding of Apprenticeship funding criteria and able to give advice on Levy spending
- Proven experience of generating own employer leads, negotiating / winning and closing new business
- Strong account management experience
- Proven experience of working towards and achieving learner start targets
- Full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle
