Description
Our client is looking for an Internal Quality Assessor. To Quality assure a range of construction courses from Property Maintenance Operative & Facilities to Building Services Maintenance Engineer. You will receive full, comprehensive training, and the opportunity to work towards industry-recognised accreditations, the hours of attendance will be 37.5 hours per week.
As an IQA you will have excellent interpersonal skills, be a great communicator, be able to organise your own day and work to agreed deadlines. You will be committed to your ongoing personal and professional development and have good working knowledge of National Occupational Standards and the post-16 education sector.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the Education sector and be a key team member responsible for:
  • Monitoring, reviewing and evaluating the quality of assessment processes and practices and ensuring awarding body standards are maintained
  • Monitoring the quality of assessor performance, identifying assessor development needs and facilitating assessor development to maintain and improve the quality of assessment.
  • Ensuring documentation and records meet quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Preparing the company to be Ofsted ready at all times.
Personal Specification:
  • Current and continuing involvement within the business sector
  • Significant experience in assessment and verification
  • Experience of meeting operational targets set for timely success.
  • Experience of working successfully as part of a team
  • Experience of marking, assessment conventions and tracking systems.
  • Construction vocational qualifications to at least Level 3
  • HNC / HND in construction related qualification
  • Internal Quality Assurance qualification (D34, V1, TAQA L4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice or L4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice)
  • Assessor Award (D32, D33, Al, TAQA L3 Assessor Award or Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement).
  • PTLLS or equivalent (or willingness to work towards qualification)
  • An enhanced DBS check will be required
