- Position Overview
You will be responsible for the delivery of technical training for the Information Communication Technician Apprenticeship Programs which will entail training in an online environment or hybrid (classroom/online). Our client and Skills Team have harnessed the latest technologies to provide a remote learning product that means their learners can benefit from all training and development programmes wherever they are. They use the latest Online Learning Platforms, such as GoToTraining, MS Teams, Zoom and Citrix (GoToMyPC) to allow completion of practical’s on high-spec machines. They are currently delivering a remote model of learning; however, the role can also involve some classroom-based training in the London office.
Role Responsibilities:
- Motivate and encourage learning and development in your learners
- Creating an engaging/interactive learning environment which caters to various learning styles
- Be able to adapt a training to an online learning environment
- Understand the development and implementation of lesson plans and schemes of work
- Be able to maintain current and relevant curriculum content through regular reviews of your training slides, including development and maintenance of learning resources
- Have knowledge of Ofsted requirements in line with the Education and Inspection Framework to consistently work at a Good and/or Outstanding level
- Recording and reporting on activity to management in a timely and professional manner
- Communicating with the Apprenticeship team/Career Support team on candidates for concern
- To oversee the development and progress of all learners undergoing the Apprenticeship
- Actively developing new initiatives and training methodologies to impact candidates learning
- Developing effective training plans to establish the needs of both the employer and Apprentice
- Ensuring that our clients training is perceived within the market as a high-quality provider of Apprenticeships solutions to both candidates and clients alike
- Ensure best practices & be aware of Health & Safety, Safeguarding and Equal Opportunities and related Acts.
- PGCE/Certificate in Education
- Evidence of pursuing continuing personal development
- Record of outstanding performance in training delivery
- Successful and sustained record of developing systems and processes which have resulted in raising quality and improving teaching standards in a sustained way
- Successfully demonstrated the creation of curriculum content that is maintained as current and innovative.
- Understanding the importance of Safeguarding issues
- Experience of working with internal and external stakeholders
- Flexible approach to working in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable with change management
- Highly motivated, persuasive, persistent, and patient
- Be professional, have a mature personality and be able to gain people’s confidence and put them at ease
- Experience in developing learner progression through a series of learning stages
- Team player – willing to contribute to the business unit and not solely focused on their own personal goals
- This role is heavily focussed on training, assessment, reporting and development. The ability to provide effective feedback is essential
- Excellent communicator
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications and Learner Management Systems. (Aptem/Onefile)
