- Position Overview
Team Leaders & Managers are integral to the delivery and growth of teams. You will live and breathe our clients vision and in doing so facilitate the personal growth and development of those around them. As a Team Leader of Career Support, you will maintain a balance between candidate development and team management and will have a desire to move into a Senior Management position.
Working alongside the Director Of Skills Bootcamps, this role manages the Career Support team and delivery of learner progression in line with agreed budgets. This is a delivery and coaching position and will suit anyone who is quality & excellence orientated, especially someone who enjoys working towards and being recognised for achieving KPI’s aligned to candidate development.
The role is to manage, develop and support the Career Support Team, ensuring Skills Bootcamps candidates progress through their 12 week program and transition into employment. You will design, develop and deliver group Soft Skills and Employability Skills sessions as well as provide one-to-one coaching. You will mentor the team to ensure all learners have a fantastic experience, complete their Skills Bootcamp and go on to progress into a new tech career.

- Mentoring and coaching the career support team to deliver excellence to the Skills Bootcamp candidates
- Ensuring the quality of provision across all of the Skills Bootcamp pathways (IT/Data/Software)
- Undertaking performance management to embed KPIs and ways of working which build a consistent model for success
- Conduct monthly 1-2-1 and coaching, which develops and enhances the team
- Deliver Soft Skills and Employability Skills training sessions to motivate and develop the candidates through their course. Both group and one-to-one sessions
- Gain an understanding of individual needs and barriers, evaluate the relevant steps to improve and provide the relevant support
- Manage a caseload of candidates; building strong working relationships
- Consistently achieving KPIs based around supporting candidates through to completion of their course and then into employment within the tech sector
- Ensure timely achievement of learners to a work ready status by week 12 of the programme.
- Supporting and motivating difficult or challenging candidates to overcome barriers and achieve objectives
- Assisting candidates in the development of their CVs, interviews and job searching
- Providing candidates with constructive feedback to help in their on-going personal development
- Take action from survey results and ongoing feedback to continually improve performance and sessions
- Create action plans for candidates; providing follow up and monitoring their progress; working alongside and in collaboration with the technical trainers
- Cross train across 3 different pathways; Software Development, IT Technician and Data Technician
