The Role:
Our clients newly created Head of Sales role will play a key part in the growth of the organisation. You will be responsible for a growing team of 8 people who are responsible for sales, marketing and account management. With exciting growth plans, this role is essential to support the organisation in this next phase. 
Ideally looking for someone with a sales and pharmacy background who is familiar with the apprenticeship landscape. Someone who is relentless in their pursuit of excellence when supporting organisations workforce development. You might have worked in a similar provision previously or you might come straight out of the pharmacy industry, we can help you get up to speed on apprenticeships.
You will identify the key decision makers and develop relationships in order to acquire new large customers. You will account manage our largest customers and ensure the ongoing success of this provision, liaising with operational teams where appropriate. This is a broad role, operating in a small team with significant potential for progression for the right candidate as the organisation progresses.
 
Duties Include:
  • Provide leadership to the wider team 
  • Support the Business Development Team to achieve organisational goals by coaching, mentoring and supporting their growth
  • Manage our clients largest customers and support the ongoing development of their accounts
  • Develop and maintain employer relationships and maximise all opportunities for the uptake of Apprenticeship programmes
  • Manage marketing activities and the ongoing use of the marketing budget
  • Give advice and support to employers regarding the Apprenticeship Levy and future funding reforms
  • Stay up to date with new funding opportunities and opportunities for diversification
  • Keep up to date with competitor’s strengths and weaknesses, evaluating the market and scoping out new opportunities
  • Report sales data and forecasts on a regular basis and meet month end sales targets.
  • Manage CRM system to ensure reporting is strong
  • Cross sell products, seizing all opportunities to offer clients a well-rounded service.
  • Grow current customer accounts to meet their potential
 
Ideal Candidate:
  • Will ideally have experience of promoting apprenticeship and pharmacy programmes to employers, to secure new learner starts
  • Will likely already have good links within the sector and a strong pharmacy industry network
  • Experience of engaging with levy companies
  • A drive to succeed and to meet ambitious growth targets
  • Proven experience of managing a sales and marketing team to meet objectives
  • Strong leadership experience 
  • Strong influencing skills across all platforms including using social networks and f2f activities
  • Understanding of the pharmacy education landscape and the ability to navigate relationships with all stakeholders. Including Salisbury Procurement, NHSE, NPA, ICBs, LPCs and other key pharmacy stakeholders
  • Be comfortable to communicate at senior levels and equally as comfortable advising learners and wider stakeholders
