Description
Are you an Automotive Technical Trainer looking for a new challenge? Or an experienced automotive technician wishing to move into training? If the answer is YES, then we want to hear from you.
Our client are looking for an enthusiastic occupational expert from the Light Vehicle Repair and Maintenance sector to support the delivery and design of level 3 technical training to the network Technicians of the future.
You will be based at a purpose-built modern training facility, with access to fully equipped workshops, Vehicles, classrooms, showrooms and full restaurant facilities located within the car manufacturing site in Derby.
This exciting role delivers a crucial component of the Apprentice Technicians’ journey throughout their programme of study, from Induction to End Point Assessment. The role involves managing and teaching a cohort of apprentices through the Light vehicle Apprenticeship Standard by providing them the knowledge, skills and behaviours, and the support to enable progression and positive outcome. This is achieved through the delivery of interactive, engaging, practical and virtual learning sessions on block release, which results in successful outcomes for apprentices and their employers.
 
Essential Criteria:
  • Appropriate level of occupational Technical competence
  • Either possess or be willing to work towards an approved teaching qualification
  • Full Driving License holder
  • Satisfactory enhanced DBS check
Desirable Criteria:
  • L3 or above teaching qualification
  • First Aid at Work Qualification (or willingness to undertake)
