Job Purpose:
The IQA/Development Coach will ensure high-quality curriculum and learning journey to both the learner and employer, ensuring an outstanding training experience is met that develops the learner’s skills, knowledge, behaviour. They must promote the business as a leading training provider and meet the company policies and procedures, Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) rules, Ofsted Common Inspection Framework, Awarding Organisation standards and any other compliancy requirements.
Main Duties:
·You would have a reduced caseload of circa 15 Early Years learners along with IQA duties.
·Build and manage a caseload of learners across various sites.
·Support the development of learners Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours in line with the assessment plan.
·Assess and support learners working towards Apprenticeships in Early Years up to level 5.
·Deliver training and support learners with Functional Skills Maths and English up to level 2.
·To regularly oversee each of your learners development on a weekly basis and escalating any learner concerns to a team leader.
·You will conduct both interim and final quality assurance activities in line with the sampling strategies.
·To ensure the quality of assessment, robust quality assurance in line with awarding body standards.
·Coach, observe and develop the Coaches and give feedback to support the quality of teaching and learning in lines with the EIF.
·Plan, deliver and evaluate regular standardisation activities for the Coaches.
·To research and be aware of the Awarding Organisations delivery specification and any ongoing changes within the industry. Implementing any feedback from the Internal Quality Assurance team to maintain the company’s direct claim status.
·Support the performance management of staff.
·Liaising with colleagues in the operations team to support the delivery of qualifications and standards.
·Develop resources and activities to support the delivery of learning and capture assessment.
·Ensure Development Coaches assessment is RAG rated regularly to support and further develop practice.
·Plan, deliver and evaluate best practice sessions in a variety of areas to support the Coaches’ practice.
·Liaise with Training Manager to develop action plans for the Coaches who may need additional support.
·Monitor, provide feedback and make recommendations of the CPD for development coaches.
·Ensure opportunities are provided for the professional development of staff, ensuring that they are up-to-date with developments in the subject Area in order to improve the quality of learning and teaching.
·Take a lead in External Quality Assurance activities.
·Support in preparation of learners for end point assessments to ensure gateway readiness.
·Be enthusiastic and proactive in developing own skills within the workplace.
