Description

Our client is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, compassionate and driven Learner Engagement Officer on a full-time basis to join a national, OFSTED graded GOOD provider.

You will be responsible for managing a caseload of apprentices completing formal progress reviews and being the pastoral and extended support mechanism for them. Some learners may have additional support needs so experience and understanding of working with SEND learners is highly desirable.

You will work in conjunction with the delivery team to ensure the learners on your caseload make rapid progress against their training plan, complete mandatory learning, remain compliant against ESFA funding rules but above all help the learners become responsible, respectful and active citizens who are able to play their part and know how to become involved in public life.

This role requires an individual with a genuine desire to support learners and support them to build character, confidence and resilience both in and outside of their studies ensuring your learning goes beyond the academic, vocational and technical and into the learners personal lives preparing them for life in modern Britain.

Requirements

  • To mentor and support learners whilst on the programme by ensuring mandatory progress reviews are completed in a timely manner and English & mathematics is continually promoted
  • Hold regular meetings with employers to provide an update on their apprentices’ progression
  • Work with learners to reduce and remove barriers to successfully completing the apprenticeship
  • To re-engage learners who are disengaging from the programme
  • Ensure the wellbeing and safeguarding of learners
  • Ensure that learners receive effective support appropriate to their needs
  • Monitor and ensure learners achieve their OTJ log
  • Monitor the mapping of Knowledge, Skills and Behaviour on OTJ journals
  • Record and maintain records for learners using the e-portfolio system (Bud)
  • Support colleagues with recruitment, induction and EPA of apprentices
  • Work with colleagues to ensure that the systems of support are used effectively in order to support learner retention and achievement
  • Strong safeguarding awareness and its application within an ILP
