Description

Job Title: Engineering Tutor (Mechanical)

Location: Bradford
Salary: £40,000

 

Purpose
Deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to funded and non-funded learners, ensuring compliance with ESFA, OFSTED, and Awarding Organisation requirements.

Main Duties

  1. Deliver the full teaching cycle with an inclusive approach aligned to the Education Inspection Framework.
  2. Comply with all internal and external quality standards.
  3. Build and maintain employer relationships, offering appropriate solutions from our client's portfolio.
  4. Develop differentiated schemes of work and session plans that engage learners and promote safe industry practice.
  5. Provide ongoing information, advice, and guidance, signposting support where needed.
  6. Support business development and learner recruitment activities.
  7. Work with the Delivery Team Director to communicate learner progress and strengthen employer engagement.
  8. Assist with costings and management of materials and equipment as required.
  9. Ensure timely achievement of qualifications and promptly flag learners at risk of delay.
  10. Maintain accurate learner progress records in line with our client’s expectations.
  11. Demonstrate resilience and champion equality, diversity, and inclusion in all situations.
  12. Undertake internal quality assurance and support Awarding Organisation approval processes.
  13. Participate in professional development to maintain a high standard of practice.
  14. Foster professional, supportive working relationships with colleagues and learners.

• Support compliance with data protection requirements.
• Maintain excellent attendance, punctuality, and professional conduct.

Qualifications and Experience
Proven experience teaching engineering.
• Recognised teaching qualification.
• Strong background in vocational education and Apprenticeship Standards.
• Current DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
• Strong organisational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
