Description

This is a hybrid role - 3 days in the office, and 2 days from home. 

My client is looking for an Accountancy Tutor who will develop and deliver AAT L2 & L3 training for their learners through the development of their knowledge, skills, behaviours and attitudes. 

They are looking for AAT level 3 qualified candidates with industry experience, preferably some experience of teaching and coaching at AAT L2 and engaging with young people who are just embarking on their Accountancy career.

Main duties:

  • The Accountancy Tutor will plan and design face to face and blended digital based curriculum to promote the attainment of retainable Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours making reasonable adjustments to meet the individual needs of learners towards their Accountancy qualifications
  • The Accountancy Tutor will mark/assess students’ work, provide structured feedback and set and agree development objectives with all key stakeholders (learners, employers, parents etc) in line with company learning policies
  • Use accurate vocational and personal developmental starting points of learners to set meaningful and collaborative targets ensuring that all stakeholders have committed to the learner journey and support learner progress
  • Accurately track KSB progress of all learners and effectively risk band their timely progress and achievement using additional learner support funds and tools, where necessary, to ensure learners are not disadvantaged via an online e portfolio system
  • Participate in open evenings, taster days, effective IAG and employer engagement activities where applicable
  • The Accountancy Tutor will manage the learners journey end to end to enable them to fully achieve their learning goals


Requirements:

  • Have or willing to work towards a Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent qualification
  • Up to date knowledge of specialist subject area/professional qualifications as appropriate up to AAT Intermediate Level
  • At least 3 years vocational industry experience in Accountancy
  • At least 1 year experience within teaching, learning and assessment.
  • A1 or TAQA equivalent- (dependent upon sector)
