- About the role
Our Client are looking to recruit an experienced trainer who has a strong background in delivering the apprenticeship standards for learners studying adult healthcare up to level 3. Whilst the role is home-based, you will be required to occasionally visit learners around Newbury, or Gloucestershire, or Oxfordshire, or Lincolnshire.
Main Duties:
- Within this apprenticeship standard there is also a level 1 & 2 Diploma of functional skills in English and Maths, culminating in preparation for their end-point assessment (EPA) which is externally assessed. Interaction with students will primarily be through MS teams with some travel requirements.
- You will ensure learners have clear objectives termly to support their timely progression, and it will be your responsibility to support learners through their learning journey to successful completion of their EPA.
- You will observe, review and provide feedback on evidence produced by learners throughout their apprenticeship, to support completion of work-based modules, EPA and meet the needs of the awarding organisation.
Skills and Requirements:
- Have a recognised level 3 or above in adult health and social care
- Hold a teaching qualification PTLLS or equivalent (desirable: we can deliver this)
- Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Be able to travel to Newbury, or Gloucestershire, or Oxfordshire, or Lincolnshire
- Hold an asessor award TAQA, A1, D32/33 or equivalent (desirable – we can deliver this)
- Hold maths and English GCSE level 4 (grade c) or above or functional skills level 2 (desirable)
- Be able to provide a full covid-19 vaccine status or a certified medical exemption
- Have experience in the delivery of apprenticeships
- Have up to date knowledge about the apprenticeship industry including funding and the apprenticeship levy
