Construction Tutor

This role will require the candidate to be working in a classroom environment and will also require the candidate to provide effective learning and assessment of learners undergoing Construction Courses in Greater London.

Experience in delivering Level 1 in Construction Skills and Level 1 in Health and Safety within Construction Environment is essential for this role, to be able to fully prepare learners to achieve their qualifications and their CSCS Green Card.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as a personal tutor/mentor to groups of learners in order to train, review, monitor and assess learners.
  • Maintain learners individual files and tracking documents/registers ensuring assessments are completed to the required standards and Co-operate with the Internal Verifier to carry out Verification as required.
  • Keep and maintain accurate records of assessments in candidate's logbooks as well as in Company documents and retrieval systems according to the Company and awarding body requirements whilst complete all administrative work concerned.
 
Qualifications, Experience & Requirements the post holder must have:
  • A good knowledge of IT based systems
  • Experience of coaching/mentoring people with mixed abilities
  • Full UK driving licence and use of own car
  • A minimum of a level 3 teaching qualification / 7307 / PTTLS
  • Preferably hold a recognised Assessor Award (D32,D33,A1)
  • A current DBS no more than 6 - 12 months old
  • Worked as a CSCS Tutor before with proven experience
