Residential Childcare Assessor
We are looking for a Residential Childcare Assessor for one of our great clients.
Key Responsibilities:
The candidates main responsibilities will be to effectively manage their own candidate caseload, assess and support learners through their level Induction Standards, Care Certificate and 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare. You will set individual targets for each learner based on capability to ensure company KPIs are met. You will manage your diary efficiently, to ensure regular contact and on-site visits with learners on day and night shifts to monitor learner progress, ensuring any challenges are overcome.
You will deliver mandatory training courses and workshops to meet the needs of a growing portfolio of homes across the group, responding to Operational, Regulatory and Local Authority standards and feedback.
Duties:
• To effectively manage cohorts of learners towards training and assessment KPIs and standards, ensuring outcomes are achieved timely
• Build and develop relationships with operational managers to enable learners to achieve and flourish
• Maintaining documentation on learner's attendance and progression. Ensure that all reporting and recording relating to learner administration and assessment is organised and conducted as agreed.
• Plan and implement learner progress reviews
• Adapt own delivery style to suit the needs of the individual learner, and the homes they are working in
• Take part in training and team meetings, Internal Verification meetings and 1-2-1’s, being an active participant
• Report all learner safeguarding issues to the authorised Safeguarding Officer
• Actively engage in Continuous Professional Development
• Communicate effectively across the organisation at all levels
• Adhere to the Employee Handbook and all Company policies and procedures; particularly those relating to Health & Safety and safeguarding the welfare of pupils, residents and colleagues across the organisation
• Carry out any other duties as assigned by management

Essential Experience and Skills
• Assessor Qualification - D32/D33/A1 or TAQA
• Recognised Training Qualification – PTTLS
• Residential Childcare Qualification at Level 3 or above (when assessing diploma in children’s services)
• Experience of working with adults in a Residential Care Setting and/or qualifications in Health and Social Care
• Strong administration and organisation skills
• Digitally literate and confident in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Full driving licence, willing to travel.
