- Develop & deliver the business strategy plan and delivery plan to ensure the on-going sustainability, growth and success of Education. The Post holder will act as a strong figurehead for theorganisation, be a positive ambassador with central & local government. A positive leader and role model for employers, stakeholders, employees and learners.
What You Will Be Doing
Strategy:
- Working with the Directors and Governance Board with regards to driving the business andplanning the long-term strategy for the organisation.
Contracts / Commissioners:
- Act as the main point of contact for commissioners, proactively engaging with them, providing timely and accurate contract specific information, attending contract management reviews and evaluating delivery performance
- To support the organisation in the delivery of all activities and programmes ensuring meet and/or exceed contract requirements
- Ensure that all the delivery teams maintain focus on performance, quality and compliance in all aspects of their work
Delivery / Staffing:
Motivate, lead and support all direct reports effectively, managing all HR processes including performance and attendance management up to and including formal actions and conducting any formal HR processes including reviewing Staff appraisals for quality and compliance.
Conduct regular meetings with Delivery Managers either on a 1-1 or group basis, to ensure their team are engaged and motivated and business goals, priorities and changes to policies and procedures are communicated.
Direct the delivery of all programmes and manage & support Delivery Managers activities to drive performance, maximising income across all projects whilst always maintaining quality, compliance and data security.
Quality / Compliance / Continuous Improvement:
- To support the organisation to ensure business continuity, consistency, compliance and continuous improvement.
- To work with the management team to ensure that all budgeting and forecasting for all programmes and activities, maintain a focus on costs, efficiency and cash flow.
Key Result Areas
- Achieve all KPI targets across all areas of responsibility
- Maintain a grade 2 or above at prime monitoring visits and Ofsted
- Ensure the team work to full potential with productivity output to meet all deadlines for
- Prime contracts
Person Specification:
- Skills in enabling effective leadership
- Skills and knowledge to use a range of software management systems
- Knowledge of the educational inspection framework.
- Knowledge of the ESFA Contract
- Previous working history of Operations Head / Manager
Experience
- Experience in the delivery of government
- funded programmes
- Experience with MIS data systems
- People management experience
- Used to working to tight deadlines and to
- agreed targets.
- Experience in Data Management
- Experience in a high level management.
