Description
We have an exciting opportunity to join our highly successful (and growing) Apprenticeship End Point Assessment Organisation. This role will support in its mission to be the end point assessment organisation of choice for science and engineering apprenticeships and a trusted partner for science industry companies. Reporting to the Head of Product, this role will give you the opportunity to be part of a management team that is supporting business growth. You will take the lead for managing the maintenance of the existing range of End Point Assessments ensuring they remain robust, consistent and fit for purpose. Secondly, this role will help drive growth by exploring the development of new assessments, and project managing those selected through to delivery. Working with the Head of Product you will manage all aspects of the assessment development plan making sure all projects are delivered in full and on time. You will support the Head of Product ensuring that all assessments are designed, produced and delivered in accordance with the Trailblazer assessment plans. You will be key in producing support documentation to guide learners, training providers and employers through their End Point Assessment journey, requiring technical expertise and knowledge of the science industry. If you can demonstrate an excellent working knowledge and experience within the scientific and engineering qualifications and assessment sector, coupled with the appetite and skills to be part of a management team within a growing business, we would like to speak with you. This position is flexible in terms of location, and is a full time, permanent position.

Job Purpose:
To scope and collaboratively design and develop apprenticeship End Point Assessments interpreting the assessment plan associated with apprenticeship standards predominantly for the science and engineering industries.
Key Accountabilities
• To scope and collaboratively design support materials related to the apprenticeship end point assessment process to support employers and providers with apprenticeship training
• To facilitate and manage the development process, ensuring that projects are delivered to time, cost and quality criteria.
• To project manage the Development Plan engaging technical/education developers where needed to produce the End Point Assessment materials
• To continuously review and maintain End Point Assessment and associated materials,
ensuring that the Head of Product is aware of progress and areas of concern.
• Where relevant, to provide relevant STEM technical expertise to support the development of End point assessments.
• With support, engage with stakeholders (e.g. providers, employers, Trailblazer Groups).
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business, drawing upon the various
technical and customer expertise available and, where necessary, liaising with external
agencies and stakeholders to inform the design and development of assessments.
• With colleagues, recruit, support, manage and evaluate writers and subject specialists
Key Performance Indicators
• All products and services projects are completed on time and to pre-set targets.
• Research opportunities and maintain the new product development log.
• Ensure existing Assessment Products and materials are maintained to a satisfactory standard for all stakeholders.
Essential Knowledge Skills and Qualifications
• A relevant STEM degree or equivalent level qualification or significant relevant experience of STEM skills in a technical or educational environment
• Knowledge of Apprenticeships including at higher levels.
• Experience of assessment and assessment systems and processes.
• Experience of working with employers and stakeholders.
• Ability to work on own initiative whilst also being an active and positive part of the team.
• Ability to communicate clearly and accurately with internal and external stakeholders.
• The ability to analyse and interpret data, providing recommendations.
• A problem solver, who is able to get results and is solution focused in the approach to work.
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing and exciting environment.
• Thorough, with a great attention to detail.
• Understanding of the current Apprenticeship Reform agenda especially the role of trailblazers
for apprenticeship standards development
• Understanding of Awarding Organisations and their activities evidenced through previous experience.
Desirable Knowledge Skills and Qualifications
• Knowledge and understanding of how qualifications are developed.
• Experience of marketing L&D products and services
• Assessor/Teacher qualification

Remuneration package
• Salary £39,000 - £41,000 per annum dependent on experience
