- THIS IS A FIXED TERM CONTRACT OF 9-12 MONTHS
HYBRID ROLE WITH 4 DAYS IN OFFICE IN KENT AND 1 DAY FROM HOME
Responsibilities:
Identify and raise awareness of Apprenticeships at a strategic level, spotting and leveraging unique opportunities for department-business collaboration.
Lead partnership activity to deliver real benefit to a range of organisations, including large companies, SMEs, public and third sectors.
Champion business engagement, demonstrate the opportunities and rewards to departments and academies to gain their buy-in; shape business cases and respond to client requirements.
Lead and manage external inspections e.g. Ofsted, ESFA, professional body
accreditation.
To lead and work with Programme Leads and Apprenticeships Centre Manager in the preparation for Ofsted and other inspections.
To collaborate actively with Executives, Principals and other colleagues across the Trust on joint initiatives, projects and strategies to ensure a consistent and coordinated approach to the development of high standards in apprenticeships.
To participate in development projects as required which enable Apprenticeships to develop and share best practice across the Trust and externally and maintain a high profile within the Apprenticeship sector.
Lead on successful applications linked to apprenticeship provision and delivery. For example, tenders, applying for external funding, renewal of the Trust’s RoATP application, in order to grow the apprenticeship delivery
Continually evaluate performance and make appropriate changes to deliver Apprenticeships’ and the Trust’s strategic aims and KPIs;
To monitor the outcome from Apprenticeships quality assurance systems, and identify and develop, in conjunction with the appropriate Programme Leads, the actions necessary for improvement of teaching, learning and assessment (TLA) practices
Maintain and monitor Key Performance Indicators to drive quality improvement strategies, reporting to the governing Board on a quarterly basis;
To monitor progress towards meeting targets set out in the QIP;
To coach, mentor and support the Programme Leads and other teaching staff in the development of their teaching strategies and skillPersonal specification:
Bachelor's degree or higher
Teaching qualification e.g. PGCE, Cert. Ed. Level 2 Maths & English qualifications at Grade C or above
Evidence of recent professional development
Highly developed communication, external liaison and networking skillsExperience in :
Leading and managing a team within an apprenticeship setting
Designing, developing and implementing innovative new apprenticeship programmes
