- Description
- Our client is looking for an experienced apprenticeship instructor in Bricklaying. It is an excellent opportunity to join our clients growing provision, full of potential and career progression for the right candidate. The successful candidate will preferably be experienced in classroom and workshop training, developing, and planning curriculums, site visits and managing portfolios, whilst offering effective advice and guidance to their learners.
The successful candidate would also preferably be familiar with apprenticeship standards and the effective assessment methods required to support timely achievement.
Teaching and assessor qualifications are not essential as training and teaching qualifications will be offered internally to the successful candidate. The successful candidate would ideally have 5 or more years of experience in construction.
Job Outline & Purpose:
- To deliver engaging and effective training sessions to groups of apprentices & students, and development on a one-to one basis.
- To assess occupational qualifications & competency in bricklaying.
- Ensure excellent apprentice/student attendance, retention, and achievement.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks:
- To deliver engaging, effective and innovative group training sessions to apprentices and Study Programme students
- To develop, plan and deliver a programme of training that leads to good outcomes
- To deliver inspiring training that meets criteria and standards for apprenticeship & Study Programme
- To manage apprentices and their Individual Learning Programmes, closely monitor and review progress
- To ensure that training delivered meets employers' needs
- To conduct & use initial assessment effectively and set apprentices appropriate, but challenging, targets & goals
