- Our client are welcoming applications for a part-time (29.6 hpw) Trainers in Leadership, Management & Lifestyle.
They are looking for a Trainer/Skills Coach/Assessor who has the qualifications and experience in assessing and mentoring apprentices within the Team Leading and Management sectors. This is will involve a caseload of apprentices who you will support and develop to End Point Assessment through regular one to one and group sessions.
You will contribute to achieving excellence in teaching, learning and assessment through innovative and excellent practice, driving the business continued success in providing a high quality teaching and learning experience to ensure student success.
PrincipalDuties:
- To deliver both practical and theoretical training sessions to a range of students across apprenticeship and FE pathways, managing the full learning experience for students and employers in your area of responsibility
- To be fully familiar with course regulations & provisions for the defined area, ensuring conformity & best practice
- To devise a range of effective training materials, including online materials
- To conduct detailed, timely and robust apprentice progress reviews with students and employers monitoring all aspects of the Individual Learning Plans, with a focus on sequencing, synergy between on and off the job training and on the job skills progress in support of delivering outstanding and timely outcomes for all apprentices.
- To agree and share ILPs for apprentices with employers based on skills scans and updated progress reviews and to complete initial assessments.
- To undertake assessment
- To provide effective feedback to clients
- To undertake evaluation to drive improvement
- To write training courses and specifications as required
- To assist in the directed development and delivery of related programs.
- To liaise directly with colleagues across the company to maintain up to date information on student progress for all elements of their programme including maths and English and underpinning knowledge within curriculum areas.
- To assist with securing quality improvement within the Curriculum area
- To assist with monitoring student enrolment, success rates and take remedial action where necessary, this will include final assessments where necessary.
- To use effectively the systems used in house (electronic or otherwise) to ensure student success, i.e. e-portfolio, e-registers, Canvas, internal verification etc. (This list is not exhaustive)
- Attend staffing activities such as interviews/Open Days/exhibitions, which may include weekend/overnight stays.
- Maintain an awareness of Health & Safety at all time ensuring students are aware of safe practices and procedures.
- To maintain professional knowledge up to date through attending staff development, industry seminars, appropriate reading, and other activities.

Qualifications
- Possession of subject specialist professional qualification, minimum level 3, in relevant subject specialism
- Possession of a recognised teaching or training qualification (minimum level 3) or be able to commence studies within 1 year of appointment
- Possession of a recognised assessor qualification, dependent on job role
- Level 2 in English and mathematics or equivalent or willingness to undertake within 12 months of appointment
Experience
- Recent Industrial /commercial experience relevant to the vacancy advertised
- Recent experience of delivering high quality training or teaching in an area relevant to the vacancy advertised
- Experience of working within the Apprenticeship sector, dependent on job role
- Experience working in Further Education
- Ability to respond to a range of learning styles
- The ability to communicate in all forms clearly, succinctly and in a timely manner
- To be able to demonstrate skills in meeting a range of targets related to company priorities e.g. recruitment, retention and attendance etc.
- To have effective administration skills to support teaching and learning
- Effective team working
- Knowledge and use of ILT
- Knowledge and evidence of Digital Fluency including possession of Microsoft Innovative Educator Certification or willingness to obtain within three months of appointment
- Demonstrable commitment to delivering results through taking responsibility for meeting objectives through communicating with impact, adopting a customer-centric focus and consistently measuring and improving
- Successfully and actively work together engaging with colleagues across the company effectively and inclusively to achieve positive outcomes

- To hold a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle or equivalent mobility for business purposes (with the ability to maintain appropriate level of business insurance for car users)
