Overall Purpose Of Job:
Our client is looking for a Head of Operationsto effectively lead on operational delivery and ensure it meets and funding agencies guidance. To effectively manage and report on the Training Officers, Curriculum Manager, Recruitment, and administrative processes and ensure Staff DBS record is current and up to date.
They will support improved performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability of the organisation through the provision of effective methods and strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise with the running of the training centres & guide on issues
- Operational Management of the Training/Curriculum Management/recruitment/process administration
- Improve processes and policies in support of organisational goals
- Formulate and implement organisational policies & procedures to maximise outputs
- Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity
- Implement & manage operational plans
- Monitor, manage & maintain learning Funding rules, regulations, & procedures
- Maintain master copies of the organisation’s Learner/Employer Handbook & take responsibility for the reviewing & updating
- Carry out monthly 121s & team meetings to drive improvement & meet completion targets
- Monitor & guide Team/dept training needs, advising &/or recommending & sourcing relevant training
- Monitor & advise on improvements to ensure performance & improvement objectives are achieved
- Monitor starts, leavers, achievers on programmes to ensure progress against contracts.
- Report Monthly on key data and performance objectives
- To produce and present staff development, performance, and statistical reports as part of the company’s ongoing self assessment process
- Participate in Self Assessment Report (SAR) & Quality Improvement Plan (QIP)
- To line manage staff as required
- Ensure that staff & learners’ personal information is treated in strict confidence & according to the principles of GDPR & Child Protection act as appropriate.
Person Specification:
- Strong Leadership/Influencing skills
- Ability to communicate at all levels both internally/externally to various stakeholders
- Ability to adapt to the needs of staff, learners and employers
- Ability to manage individuals and teams
- Sound knowledge of Work Based Learning
- Sound knowledge of Apprenticeships
- Knowledge of ESFA contracts & Funding Rules
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of Standards & EPA
