Description

Our client is seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager to lead growth in IT and Digital Apprenticeships across the region. You will develop strong employer partnerships, identify new opportunities for apprenticeships, and help individuals start and grow successful careers in technology.

This role blends sales, employer engagement, and talent development, offering the
chance to make a real impact in supporting digital skills growth and workforce
transformation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relationships with employers in tech, digital, and professional services sectors.
  • Promote and position IT & Digital Apprenticeship programmes (e.g., Software Development, Data Analytics, Cyber Security, Digital Marketing) to meet employer needs.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly targets for apprenticeship placements, employer partnerships, and revenue growth.
  • Generate and manage a strong sales pipeline using CRM tools and accurate reporting.
  • Provide guidance to employers on apprenticeship funding, incentives, and compliance.
  • Work closely with candidates to match them to digital apprenticeship opportunities.
  • Represent the organisation at networking events, tech meetups, and industry forums to build visibility and partnerships.
  • Ensure all business development activity aligns with ESFA and Ofsted
  • requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop marketing campaigns and employer propositions.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven success in business development, sales, or apprenticeships (ideally within the IT or digital skills sector).
  • Strong B2B sales and employer engagement experience.
  • Track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Confident working with senior stakeholders within tech and digital organisations.
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems and digital platforms.
