Location: Aylesbury
Contract: Fixed term until June 2028
Salary: £45,000 + OTE
The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Head of Restart Programme to lead the delivery of their Government-funded Restart contract, supporting unemployed Universal Credit claimants into sustainable employment across the Aylesbury Vale area.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Head of Restart Programme will have overall responsibility for contract performance, ensuring all KPIs, quality standards and contractual requirements are achieved while leading a high-performing team. You will provide strategic leadership, manage operational performance and finances, build strong stakeholder relationships, and drive continuous improvement to deliver outstanding outcomes.

Essential Experience
- Management qualification.
- Minimum five years' senior contract management experience.
- Proven leadership of high-performing, target-driven teams.
- Experience managing contractual KPIs and operational performance.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Experience delivering Government-funded employability or welfare-to-work programmes.
Desirable
- Recruitment sector experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Restart delivery team.
- Ensure contractual, financial and operational performance targets are achieved.
- Monitor KPIs, quality, compliance and participant outcomes.
- Manage budgets, performance reporting and contract data.
- Build effective partnerships with AKG, employers and external stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement, staff development and a high-performance culture.
- Oversee safeguarding, quality assurance and customer service standards.
- Act as the escalation point for complex operational issues.
Additional Information
The role requires flexibility, including occasional travel between locations. Responsibilities may evolve to meet business needs.
