- Description
- Our client is looking for a Manufacturing Management Tutor to undertake effective competence assessment in the workplace, supporting apprentices undertaking the level 2 process operative and level 4 process leader standards with gaps in their knowledge. To enthuse, inspire and motivate apprentices to reach their full potential and gain high grades at EPA. To maintain timely progression, achievement, and success rates and to adhere to quality policies / processes ensuring fair and consistent assessment.
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure consistency and compliance to internal and external policy, procedure, guidelines, and requirements
- Carry out initial and on-going advice and guidance to ensure learners are on the right programme and receiving the right level of support, making referrals to the quality manager for additional support where required.
- Complete induction sessions with learners and employers that includes all compliance documentation.
- Provide timely compliant documentation in line with company policies and processes to meet Education Skills Funding Agency requirements.
- Work closely with employers to plan, design, and deliver training which comprises knowledge and competence-based learning and assessment.
- Coordinate and deliver high quality, engaging teaching, learning and assessment to encourage retention and timely achievement, this includes developing schemes of work, coursework development and delivery plans taking account of individual requirements to ensure differentiation of learning across the apprenticeship standard(s) delivered
- Deliver effective and efficient teaching, learning and assessment processes that enable individual learners to progress towards and achieve identified milestones in a timely manner, supported by consistent judgement of valid, reliable, and sufficient evidence.
- Adopt and implement effective use of new technologies including development of learning materials and use of the virtual learning environment (VLE) to meet market demands and enhance the learning experience
- Where appropriate, prepare learners to successfully undertake assignments or sit tests/exams in order to maintain high success rates
- Monitor, mark, assess and track leaners’ progress through a periodic, three-way review process to ensure high achievement rates and provide feedback against objectives
- Participate and implement moderation and standardisation activities with internal and external moderators and IQAs
- Evaluate teaching, learning and assessment and respond to learner and employer feedback to continuously improve the learning experience for individuals and groups.
- Implement feedback and development action points resulting from IQA sampling, observation of practice and standardisation themes to continuously improve the quality and rigour of assessment for learners.
- Continuously review and reflect on own practice, development needs and undertake CPD as required
- Report and provide timely updates and respond to requests for information from the IQA and Apprenticeship Centre Management
- To manage your caseload and promote the range of services to all target markets - both learners and employers
Personal Qualifications:
Essential:
- Level-4 or above qualification in leadership, process improvement, manufacturing or engineering
- Assessor qualification (TAQA/A Units) or willing to work towards
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership, engineering, process improvement, health and safety or quality management background
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience of assessing in the workplace
- Continuous Professional Development
- DBS check required
Desirable:
- Management / Leadership / Supervisor qualification
- Teaching qualification at level 4 or above
- Understanding of Apprenticeship Standards
- Internal Quality Assurance qualification
- Designing training programmes responsive to the needs of employers/learners within the STEM/Leadership sectors
- Understanding of Quality Standards i.e., Ofsted Education Inspection Framework, Matrix
- Experience of electronic learner tracking / monitoring systems e.g., Smart-assessor, OneFile
