JOB OVERVIEW

The Head of Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness, drive customer engagement, and achieve business objectives. This role will lead the marketing team, ensuring alignment across all marketing channels and initiatives.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Planning: Develop and implement marketing strategies that align with overall business goals and objectives.

Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity and accountability.

Brand Management: Oversee brand positioning and messaging to ensure consistency across all platforms and touchpoints.

Digital Marketing: Lead digital marketing initiatives, including social media, content marketing, email campaigns, and SEO/SEM strategies.

Market Research: Conduct market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.

Campaign Development: Create and execute integrated marketing campaigns to drive engagement and conversion.

Budget Management: Manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.

Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyse marketing performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, and customer service, to ensure cohesive messaging and strategy.

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Knowledge and Experience

Proven experience in a senior marketing role, with a track record of successful marketing strategy development and execution.

Understanding of Marketing within the education sector

Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and best practices.

Exceptional leadership and team management skills.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

 

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

Ability to manage service delivery activities, leading on a collaborative approach and drawing on cross functional input.

Numerate with the ability to analyse and interpret member data and performance.

Proven ability to think strategically and to provide clear, balanced and challenging input across a range of issues.

Significant ability to analyse complex information, situations and issues and deploy highly developed and innovative customer insight skills.

Demonstrates and promotes leadership behaviours and enables and develops the skills and talents of others.

Organisational and performance management skills with the ability to prioritise, develop long-term plans and deliver to deadlines with and through teams.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to influence and build rapport with a diverse range of stakeholders internally and externally.

Resilient and able to work under pressure and in a fast-moving change environment.

A high level of personal and professional integrity with the ability to understand impact of behaviour on others and to learn from experience.

Emotionally intelligent with a natural ability to apply good judgement; routinely challenge your own thinking and that of others to ensure sound and effective decision making.

The ability to persuade others to buy into your plans and take actions you wish them to take.
