Description

You will be responsible for the delivery of training, instruction and assessment of young people and adults undertaking Engineering Apprenticeships, Foundation Learning or Engineering Skills Training to the standards required.

Main duties:

  • Undertakes the activity of assessor of NVQs/VRQs and Functional Skills. Plans, prepares and undertakes assessments of competence against the awarding body standards, both practical skills and underpinning knowledge.
  • Attends other training and education events as identified to continue professional development in all aspects of the job role and as required by award bodies, government agencies and local authorities.
  • Supports the Training Team in all aspects of delivering the Company’s business.
  • Ensures any materials required for training are stocked to a minimum level or ordered in advance to allow training to proceed uninterrupted.
  • Maintains the day to day engineering equipment and resources in the Training Centre within the limits of ability and available time.
  • Provides safety training in both theoretical and practical forms to ensure that all persons undergoing training are aware of and conform to the Health & Safety at Work Act and other relevant regulations governing workshop practice.
