- This is a remote role. (homebased)
Job Purpose
This role will play a key part in the People team and include supporting and mentoring junior employees. This is a generalist position, however with a focus on “Recruitment.” This role will manage every stage of recruitment and candidate selection, attracting talent, vetting candidates and advising business on best recruitment practices and processes.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support in developing a recruitment strategy to ensure timely recruitment of all required personnel in line with the company strategy and growth plans
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, hiring amazing talent into all roles, across all functions
- Running and improving end-to-end recruitment process, from sourcing and interviewing to on-boarding new starts.
- Develop a recruitment agency PSL [preferred supplier list].
- Support in the further development and maintenance of consistent, up-to-date guidelines, concepts and efficiently structured processes in recruiting; as well as development of documents / templates for the HR Toolbox [e.g., Job description templates, person specifications, briefing documents ...]
- Ensure the recruitment process is as financially efficient as possible
- Coach and support the development of junior HR employees
- Boost our employer brand through employer awards, marketing and partnering with good recruiters where necessary
- Run recruitment campaigns that brings our brand to life
- Create presence and maintain sound working relationships with all business areas/departments
- Consult with other departments, employees and with company clients, customers, suppliers etc as and when needed
- Oversee the full process for all onboarding employees/ and current employees
- Oversee the full referencing and safer recruitment process for all new starters [Ensuring all DBS and safer recruitment checks are completed timely/ references are requested, received and oversee that the People management system [People HR] remains up to date, securely storing personal information
- Manage the People Team audit and compliance, to ensure we are compliant with information security management [GDPR regulations – Data Protection Act 2018]
- Assist in the annual review process for company policies – working with the Head of People and Talent to update policies in line with new company processes or legal changes
- Develop technical and legal knowledge through continued learning and development
- Attend relevant seminars, CPD activities, review the ACAS website, read the CIPD website, read People Management, Government websites etc
- Employee Relations [ER]
- Support the business by advising on complex ER cases such as disciplinary hearings [dismissal level] and grievance hearings, flagging high risk cases to Head of People & Talent
- Oversee the production of monthly data [starters/ leavers/ absence........]
Qualifications and Experience:
- Level 3 CIPD Qualified & studying towards level 5
- Level 5 CIPD Qualified [or above]
- Experience HR management experience in a medium-sized organisation, including policy development
- Strong experience within recruitment and selection
- Advising senior/middle managers on employment law issues – discipline, absence, capability and grievance.
- Translating law into best practice employment policy, procedure, and advice
- Experience in HR leadership and organisational development
- Excellent understanding of developments in employment law and employee relations, organisational planning, and development
- Have an understanding of and be able to demonstrate a commitment to Equal Opportunities and Diversity
