- This Is A Home-Based Role
- Manage a caseload of predominantly digital learners ensuring regular, appropriate, and sufficient progress is made, aligned to their individual learning plan and targets, leading to the timely completion of their qualification/apprenticeship.
- Support and train learners in the broader development of their skills and knowledge to enable them to meet their aspirations and fulfil their potential through group workshops and one to one sessions.
- Take responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of allocated learners.
- Ensure that a quality learning journey is delivered to all learners meeting the requirement of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework.
- Ensure that end point assessment organisations and other relevant stakeholders quality assurance and compliance procedures are adhered to.
- To support assessment and IQA team in all functions of their job roles
- Ensure learner overall and timely success rates meet or exceed our clients targets for their qualification sector subject areas.
- The number of learners over their funding end dates to be maintained at a level below 5% of own cohort.
- Maintain the organisations quality standards by consistently achieving good or better grades through OTLA activities.
- At least 90% of your employer and learner feedback to be rated as good.
- IQA sampling plans are adhered to and current for self and team according to IQA strategy authority levels
- To assess and confirm the eligibility of potential learners.
- To take appropriate action using the organisations reporting processes where health and safety, safeguarding/PREVENT and EDI issues arise that give cause for concern.
- Make relevant and appropriate quality assessment decisions.
- To monitor the standard of work from team members through IQA activities and report findings to the Lead IQA.
Key Tasks
- Manage an occupancy level of approximately 49 apprenticeship learners or pro rata as per hours of work and additional responsibilities.
- Sign up and induct new learners using robust initial assessment, skills scans and diagnostic tools (Forskills) ensuring learners are working to the appropriate level for their programme and that these levels are sufficiently challenging.
- Provide appropriate and impartial advice and guidance at induction.
- Plan, agree and record the individual learning plan with each learner according to individual needs, results of the IA and diagnostics and in collaboration with the employer.
- Use ILP, curriculum plans and delivery models to plan a sequenced programme of learning
- To carry out workshop and one to one sessions both online and face to face to support and train learners in the broader development of their skills and knowledge as well as the achievement of their qualification.
- Use the Assessment Visit Record document to complete a visit report for each learner meeting. For apprentice learners use PICS software and submit within 24 hours of the visit taking place.
- Learner reviews to be carried out within organisations timescales and dependent on learner needs. No reviews to be more than 2 weeks past scheduled date.
- To conduct and record learner reviews that promote learner awareness of progression and development and that are in line with individual learner needs and contractual obligations. For apprentice learners use PICS software and submit within 24 hours of the review taking place.
- To plan and diarise visits making best use of travel time and working hours whilst minimising environmental impact.
- Provide appropriate and impartial advice and guidance that supports learner’s progress and progression.
- Prepare for, attend and actively participate in monthly caseload review panel meetings.
- Report any potential problems with learners and/or employers in a timely manner following the organisations processes.
