Our client is looking for an NDT trainer to work with a caseload of learners, you will develop the skills and knowledge of regular contact, ensuring progression and accurate and up-to-date recording of all visits. Possessing a strong track record of learner success, you will strive to bring your learners in on time and with distinctions.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate the ability to manage areas of work that require the coordination and supervision of other staff, such as NDT Operators.
- Demonstrate NDT competencies relevant to the industry sector and appropriate materials using equipment, tools and processes
- Apply appropriate solutions to well-defined engineering problems using the chosen NDT methods.
- Select appropriate methods and techniques and understand their limitations.
- Supervise and project manage areas of work, to include where appropriate, NDT Operator’s work and reports for compliance and accuracy; achieve good time management.
- Ability to conduct re-inspection audits of NDT Operator’s work, comparing and evaluating the results and taking appropriate action when necessary.
- Implement quality control and quality assurance of NDT systems and performance.
- Operate with good practical ability, including hand/eye coordination, to apply NDT.
- Follow written procedures to demonstrate a disciplined approach.
- Identify problems and apply appropriate NDT methods to identify causes and achieve satisfactory solutions and submit clear and precise NDT reports and instructions.
- Identify, organise, and use resources effectively to complete tasks, with consideration for cost, quality, safety, security, and environmental impact.
- A1 / TAQA 3 (or equivalent)
- PTLLS / CTLLS / DTTLS (or equivalent)
- Functional Skills Level 2 (or equivalent) in Maths, English and ICT
- Experience in delivering training in the workplace to meet specific criteria and learning outcomes.
- Experience in self-managing a portfolio of learners with successful outcomes.
- Ability to deliver effectively and provide quality training on a 1:1 or larger group basis.
- Ability to develop course materials to support additional learning needs.
- Ability to follow company procedures and comply with the requirements of relevant Awarding Bodies / End Point Assessment Offices
- Able to work on own initiative and be self-motivated.
- Able to work with, and effectively manage, conflicting priorities and to tight deadlines.
- A ‘can-do’ approach to work and the ability to work flexibly when required.
- Prepared to work outside normal office hours on occasion to meet business needs.
