- Position Overview
You will be responsible for the delivery of technical training for the Bootcamp Learning Project which will entail training in an online environment or hybrid (classroom/online). Our client has harnessed the latest technologies to provide a remote learning product that means their learners can benefit from all training and development programmes wherever they are. They use the latest Online Learning Platforms, such as GoToTraining, MS Teams, Zoom and Citrix (GoToMyPC) to allow completion of practical’s on high-spec machines. They are currently delivering a remote model of learning; however, the role can also involve some classroom-based training in the London office.
You will work alongside the Bootcamp Project Director and Senior Curriculum and Learning Manager to develop the training methodologies curriculum content and resources currently used within the business. You will adapt different ways of working and be able to establish individual learning needs and introduce new ways of working. You should identify best practices and bring individualism and personality to a standardised course.
Responsibilities
- Motivate and encourage learning and development in your learners
- Creating an engaging/interactive learning environment which caters to various learning styles
- Be able to adapt a training and resources to an online learning environment
- Understand the development/implementation of lesson plans/schemes of work for short-course delivery.
- Be able to maintain current and relevant curriculum content through regular reviews of your training slides, including development and maintenance of learning resources
- Have knowledge of OFSTED requirements in line with the Education and Inspection Framework to consistently work at a Good and/or Outstanding level
- Recording and reporting on activity to management in a timely and professional manner
- Communicating with the Sales team/Career Support team to maximise their preparation for employment.
- To oversee the development and progress of all learners undergoing the Bootcamp programme
- Developing useful training plans to show the needs of the candidates to ensure they can secure employment
- Ensuring the company is perceived within the market as a high-quality provider of training.
- Ensure best practices, be aware of Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Equal Opportunities and related Acts.
- PGCE/Certificate in Education
- Certified and able to teach CompTIA A+ is essential
- Able to teach Windows 10 and Windows 365
- AZ900 / SC900 / DP900 / MS100 / MD100 certifications advantageous
- Microsoft Certified Trainer status desirable
- Evidence of pursuing continuing personal development
- Record of outstanding performance in training delivery both remote and face to face
- Ability to create assessment materials used to check learning on apprenticeship and bootcamp programmes
- Successful and sustained record of developing systems and processes which have resulted in raising quality and improving teaching standards in a sustained way
- Successfully demonstrated the creation of curriculum content that is maintained as current and innovative.
- Understanding the importance of Safeguarding issues
- Experience of working with internal and external stakeholders
- Flexible approach to working in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable with change management
- Highly motivated, persuasive, persistent, and patient
- Be professional, have a mature personality and be able to gain people’s confidence and put them at ease
- Experience in developing learner progression through a series of learning stages
- Team player – willing to contribute to the business unit and not solely focused on their own personal goals
- This role is heavily focussed on training, assessment, reporting and development. The ability to provide effective feedback is essential
