About out Client:

Our client connects students with top employers and education providers, helping them explore careers before finishing education. We work with global brands like Airbus, NHS, Jaguar Land Rover, Amazon, Atkins, and Meta, and partner with schools, colleges, and universities.

They hiring a New Business Development Manager to grow new logos and lead a small new business team. This is a player–coach role: ~50% selling and ~50% managing/coaching a team of 3.

 

Role /Responsibilities:

  • Own personal new business target and drive opportunities from prospecting to close.
  • Build and execute outbound strategy for priority accounts.
  • Conduct discovery calls, demos, and consultative selling; create proposals and negotiate deals.
  • Maintain pipeline, forecasting, and reporting in CRM.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to convert inbound demand.
  • Manage and coach a team of 3 with clear goals and KPIs.
  • Implement best-practice new business processes (qualification, deal stages, MEDDICC, mutual action plans).
  • Lead weekly pipeline reviews, call coaching, deal strategy sessions, and forecasts.
  • Identify skills gaps and provide enablement (messaging, discovery, negotiation).
  • Use data to improve performance (conversion, stage velocity, win/loss insights).
  • Partner with Account Management, Delivery, and Product for smooth handovers and market feedback.

Requirements

Must-Have:

  • Proven experience in early careers, employability, or education-to-employment sales.
  • Track record of winning new logos and building B2B pipeline (mid-market/enterprise preferred).
  • Prior management or coaching experience.
  • Skilled in consultative discovery, value-based selling, and negotiation.
  • Strong CRM discipline and forecasting accuracy.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Desirable:

  • Enterprise sales experience.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HubSpot, and sales enablement tools.
