This role combines sales, relationship management, and workforce development — ideal for someone passionate about connecting businesses with emerging technical talent.
Key Responsibilities

- Promote a portfolio of Engineering Apprenticeship programmes, such as Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, and Maintenance Engineering.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly targets for apprenticeship starts and employer partnerships.
- Identify employer skills needs and create tailored apprenticeship solutions.
- Manage a proactive sales pipeline, track opportunities, and report on performance.
- Provide advice to employers on funding, levy use, and apprenticeship compliance.
- Work with candidates to align skills and aspirations with engineering opportunities.
- Represent the organisation at industry events, careers fairs, and engineering networks.
- Collaborate with training delivery teams to ensure high-quality provision aligned to industry standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with ESFA and awarding body requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or apprenticeship engagement, ideally within the engineering or manufacturing sectors.
- Established network or knowledge of the engineering skills landscape.
- Track record of achieving targets and developing long-term employer partnerships.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confident using CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and digital communication platforms.
- Motivated, target-driven, and passionate about supporting engineering talent pipelines.
