- Salary: Unqualified £25,000–£27,000; Qualified £28,000–£30,000

Our client is seeking an inspiring Skills for Life Tutor to join the Peterborough Fengate Education Centre. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people by delivering engaging and creative sessions that build confidence, independence, and skills for life and work.Key Responsibilities
- Plan, teach, and assess lessons on independence skills, personal, social, and emotional development.
- Develop engaging schemes of work that reflect learner needs and progression.
- Differentiate lessons and resources according to learner abilities, EHCPs, and observations.
- Track learner progress, maintain records, and report achievements.
- Conduct 1:1 reviews and provide pastoral support.
- Manage behaviour in line with policies and ensure inclusive practices.
- Organise practical lessons, trips, and enrichment activities.
- Participate in team meetings, quality reviews, and professional development activities.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold safeguarding, Prevent, and equal opportunity policies.
Requirements
- PTLLS/DTLLS/Cert Ed/PGCE (or willingness to work toward qualification).
- Experience teaching learners with varied abilities or learning differences.
- Assessor qualification and knowledge of EHCPs desirable.
- GCSEs in English and Maths (grade C/4 or above) or Functional Skills Level 2.
- Confident, creative, and reflective practitioner.
