Location: Ipswich
Salary: £29,000 - £36,000Hours: 08:00–16:30 (Term Time Only)
Contract: 12-Month Fixed Term (Maternity Cover)About the Role: Study Programme Tutor
We are seeking a committed Study Programme Tutor to deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment to learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), many with EHCPs. As a Study Programme Tutor you will support learners to achieve qualifications, develop skills and progress positively, working in line with Ofsted, ESFA and Awarding Body requirements.Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging study programmes aligned with funding and quality standards
- Complete initial assessments and develop Individual Learning Plans (ILPs)
- Deliver and support Functional Skills Maths and English
- Monitor progress, attendance and learner engagement
- Provide CEIAG, pastoral support and progression guidance
- Liaise with parents, carers, employers and external agencies
- Support work experience placements and employer reviews
- Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, equality and diversity standards are met
- Contribute to continuous improvement, SAR and QIP
- Provide personal care support where required
About You:
- Experience teaching in an educational setting, ideally with SEND learners
- Understanding of barriers faced by young people and effective support strategies
- Knowledge of the FE sector, safeguarding, Prevent and equality & diversity
- Strong communication, organisation and ICT skills
- Flexible, resilient, learner-focused and a strong team player
- Full UK driving licence
Essential Qualifications:
- Level 3 Teaching Qualification (minimum)
- Level 2 Functional Skills (or equivalent) in Maths and English
